Aishwarya Rai injured during shooting

Is it really such a big deal, that it's been on the news (on the net, I don't have any idea about the newspapers now) for the past couple of days. I generally tend to avoid such news, but to estimate the seriousness of the situation I went through of the news articles which said:
"Aishwarya was riding a cycle, which crashed into a signpost on the roadside and she got hurt."
I was wondering, that are there still so delicate people in this world which can get hurt by sleeping on a bed with a hair underneath, or is it this fucking media which always hypes all the shitty things while ignoring the matters that actually concern us!!!!
